Grammarcraft is a professional web-based editing & proofreading service.

How many editors do you have working for you?

Contrary to popular belief, Grammarcraft is not staffed by an army of relentless grammar-fiends who have unnatural obsessions with the English language, who spend their waking hours analyzing subject/verb agreement and dream of compound sentence structures. No, just one. (That would be me.)

Who are you, then?

Generally speaking, I'm someone who loves good writing and relishes the opportunity to help create it.

What else do you do?

By day, I am the production manager for a 3-store Cartridge World franchise. My job, being mostly quality control and coordination, requires intimate knowledge of technical processes, a predisposition for questioning and rethinking, and fierce attention to detail. These skills translate well to the written word.

How are you qualified to be an editor?

Glad you asked! I have experience proofreading for the National Art Education Association, Digital Proofreaders, the National Park Service, and a variety of freelance customers, including students and professionals. I was the copy editor (for a year, until they switched formats) for FenderBender Times, a national trade publication serving more than 9,000 members of the collision repair industry.

I have a BA in English from the University of Minnesota - Morris and served as the campus newspaper's film critic every week for the duration of my enrollment. (I also did some copy editing for the school paper.)

What are your other interests?

I love the written word probably more than anything, but I'm also a huge fan of music and film. (Before you ask, David Lynch and Radiohead.) I've also been known to dabble in various creative endeavors myself, including writing (fiction and non), filmmaking, music production, painting, and drawing.
